 Mediador do Crédito

This marks another important step in promoting financial literacy, focusing on a key public entity dedicated to protecting the rights of customers in their interactions with credit-granting institutions: the Credit Ombudsman (Mediador do Crédito).

We are privileged to welcome the Credit Ombudsman for an entire day, exclusively for the NOVA Community. From 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., the Ombudsman will be available in the NSL atrium to answer any questions you may have.

Additionally, a dedicated session on credit will take place at 2:00 p.m.

Financial literacy training session

On February 12th, the Centre, in partnership with REORGANIZA, had the pleasure of hosting a financial literacy training session led by João Raposo for the team of Fundação “O Século”.

We covered not only the importance of family budgeting, saving, and credit but also introduced investment concepts, always with the ultimate goal of promoting a healthy and informed approach to personal finance!

11th edition of ‘A Voz dos Jovens’

We had the privilege of taking part in the opening session of the 11th edition of ‘A Voz dos Jovens’ (The Voice of Young People), a project promoted by Cascais Municipal Council in partnership with the Directorate-General for Education, Mentes Empreendedoras, dedicated this year to Financial Literacy.

Throughout 2025, the Centre will provide advice to mentor teachers and mentors who will develop the project with around 200 students.

My Financial Future

On September 30th, NOVA School of Law and NOVA Financial Markets hosted the Workshop to launch the personal finance contest “My Financial Future”, together with the Banco de Portugal and CFA Institute.

The workshop, aimed mainly at students who want to ensure a safe and informed financial future, aims to discuss the importance of saving and answer several questions, including “Why save and how to invest?”, “How to use credit?”, “What is the impact of credit on my budget?” and “How to safely use digital financial services?”.
